Description

Palácio da Bolsa (Stock Exchange Palace) is one of Porto's most iconic buildings, classified as a National Monument since 1982. Built in the 19th century, between 1842 and 1910, the palace was designed in a neoclassical style to serve as the headquarters for Porto’s Commercial Association. Located in the historic city center, near the Ribeira district, the building's impressive architecture and luxurious interiors make it a must-see attraction. Inside, the Arab Room stands out as one of the most breathtaking spaces, adorned with neo-Arabic motifs inspired by the Alhambra in Granada. This room is used for state receptions and other formal events. The palace also houses several other notable rooms, such as the General Assembly Hall, the Courtroom, and the Pátio das Nações (Nations' Courtyard), which once served as the city’s business hub.
